Ferric Chloride Anhydrous 50kg/Drum Black Green Powder
Ferric chloride, FeCl3, covalent compound, inorganic iron salt, molecular weight 162.204, appearance as blackish-brown crystals (also in thin flakes). It is prone to deliquescence in moist air and hydrolysis in solutions with low acidity, forming ferric hydroxide colloid. It is readily soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, but insoluble in glycerol (glycerol). When dissolved in water, it releases a large amount of heat, forming a coffee-colored or brownish-yellow acidic solution, from which hexahydrate ferric chloride (FeCl3·6H2O) with crystalline water can be precipitated.

1.Due to its oxidizing property and flocculation mechanism in aqueous solution, ferric chloride is mainly used in metal etching and wastewater treatment.
2. Organic industry: Used as a catalyst (such as in esterification reactions), oxidant and chlorinating agent;
3. Glass industry: Used as a hot colorant for glassware;
4. Soap-making industry: Used as a coagulant for recovering glycerin from soap waste liquid;
5. New energy: Iron source for lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4), the cathode material of lithium-ion batteries
