Sodium bicarbonate is a white crystal, or an opaque monoclinic fine crystal. Odorless, non-toxic, salty, soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol. Its aqueous solution is slightly alkaline due to hydrolysis, stable at room temperature, easy to decompose when heated, unchanged in dry air, and slowly deliquesced in humid air.

Sodium Bicarbonate Baking Soda is used as an analytical reagent, inorganic synthesis, pharmaceutical industry, acidemia treatment and food industry's fermentation agent, carbon dioxide generator in soda and cold drinks, and butter preservation agent. It can be directly used as raw material for pharmaceutical industry, wool detergent, foam extinguishing agent, bath agent, alkaline agent and leavening agent. It is often used in biscuits and pastries to prepare bulking agent with ammonium bicarbonate. The addition amount of wheat flour is 20g / kg. It can be used with citric acid, tartaric acid, etc. to prepare the foaming agent of solid cool beverage (to produce CO2).
