Hot Sell Dense Sodium Carbonate Soda Ash Dense CAS 497-19-8
Sodium carbonate is white powder or granules at room temperature. It is odorless. It is a strong base and weak acid salt. It is hygroscopic. When exposed to air, it gradually absorbs 1mol/L of water (about 15%). The aqueous solution is strongly alkaline, pH 11.6. Relative density (25℃) 2.53. Melting point 851℃. Median lethal dose (30 days) (mouse, intraperitoneal) 116.6 mg/kg. Relative density (25℃) 2.53. Melting point 851℃. Median lethal dose (30 days) (mouse, intraperitoneal) 116.6 mg/kg. It is very stable, but it can also decompose at high temperatures to generate sodium oxide and carbon dioxide. It can absorb moisture and carbon dioxide in the air for a long time, generate sodium bicarbonate, and form hard lumps. It is highly hygroscopic and can easily form hard lumps. It does not decompose at high temperatures.

It has three types of sodium carbonate
Type 1: Special industrial sodium carbonate, suitable for manufacturing cathode ray tube glass shell, float glass, optical glass. It is used as a coagulant, mainly to adjust the pH value of the flocculation process.
Type 2: The second one is industrial sodium carbonate produced from general industrial salt and natural carbon as raw materials, including light sodium carbonate and heavy sodium carbonate.
Type 3: The third one is industrial sodium carbonate produced by the alkali process using sodium sulfate brine salt as raw material, including light sodium carbonate and heavy sodium carbonate.
