PAM Polyacrylamide White Powder For Waste Water Treatment Polyacrylamide Flocculant PAM
Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a linear water-soluble polymer and one of the most widely used varieties of water-soluble polymer compounds. PAM and its derivatives can be used as efficient flocculants, thickeners, and paper enhancers As well as liquid drag reducers, they are widely used in industrial sectors such as water treatment, papermaking, petroleum, coal, mining and metallurgy, geology, textiles, and construction.
Cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM): It is a linear polymer compound. Because it has a variety of active groups, it can interact with many substances and adsorb to form hydrogen bonds. Mainly flocculate negatively charged colloids.
Anionic polyacrylamide (APAM): It is a water-soluble high molecular polymer. It is mainly used for flocculation, sedimentation and clarification treatment of various industrial wastewater, such as wastewater treatment of iron and steel plant, electroplating plant, metallurgical wastewater, coal washing wastewater, etc. Sludge dewatering, etc. It can also be used for drinking water clarification and purification treatment. Because its molecular chain contains a certain number of polar groups, it can absorb solid particles suspended in water to bridge between particles or make particles agglomerate to form large flocs through charge neutralization, so it can accelerate particles in suspension The sedimentation has a very obvious effect of speeding up the clarification of the solution and promoting filtration.
Non-ionic polyacrylamide (NPAM): It is a high-molecular polymer or polyelectrolyte. Its molecular chain contains a certain amount of polar genes that can adsorb solid particles suspended in water, so that the particles can bridge between them to form large flocs. It accelerates the sedimentation of particles in the suspension, has a very obvious effect of speeding up the clarification of the solution, and promoting filtration. Because the molecular chain contains amide groups or ionic genes, its distinctive feature is that it is highly hydrophilic and can be dissolved in water in various proportions. The aqueous solution of polyacrylamide has good tolerance to electrolytes, such as amine chloride, sodium sulfate, etc. Not sensitive and compatible with surfactants.

The amide group (-CONH2) of Polyacrylamide can be compatible with many substances, the formation of hydrogen bond can absorb suspension particles to form "bridging" thus to make flocculation structure enlarge and thicken, to accelerate the particles sedimentation to speed up the clarification of the solution and promote filtration.
1. Municipal Wastewater
In the first stage of processing urban sewage, usually add inorganic coagulants for pretreatment, then add Anionic PAM and Cationic PAM to enhance flocculation efficienc and reduce small particles in water and promote sludge dewatering.
2. Industrial Wastewater
High organic or acidophilic effluent:
Cationic PAM, Non-ionic PAM;
High suspended solids or alkaline effluent:
Anionic PAM, Nonionic PAM
3. Raw Water Treatment
Raw water contains the large amounts of suspended solids. Therefore,it is usually pretreated by using an inorganic flocculant, and then add Anionic PAM for flocculating and purifying.
1. Economical to use, lower dosage levels.
2. Easily soluble in water; dissolves rapidly.
3. No erosion under suggested dosage.
4. Can eliminate the use of alum & further ferric salts when used as primary coagulants.
5. Lower sludge of dewatering process.
6. Faster sedimentation, better flocculation.
7. Echo-friendly, no pollution (no aluminum, chlorine, heavy metal ions etc.).
