PTSA/P-Toluenesulfonic Acid (chemical formula: p-CH3C6H4SO3H, also written as TsOH) is a non-oxidizing strong organic acid, which is one million times more acidic than benzoic acid. White needle-like or powder crystals, easily deliquescent, soluble in water, alcohol and other polar solvents. Will dehydrate and carbonize paper, wood, etc. The common one is p-toluenesulfonic acid monohydrate TsOH·H2O.

1. As curing agent. In coating, resin, artificial board, casting, oil paint industries, PTSA is used as curing agent;
2. In medicine(such as doxycycline), pesticides(like three dicohol), PTSA is widely used.
3. In organic chemicals, PTSA is widely used.
4. Stabilizer. In acrylate, textile auxiliary agent, photographic film, polyreaction, it is used as stabilizer.
