Sodium carbonate is also known as soda ash and soda powder. The chemical formula is Na2CO3. Sodium carbonate at room temperature is white, odorless, powdery or fine-grained crystals. There are two main types of soda ash products, namely dense soda ash and light soda ash.
Dense Soda Ash:
The production method of dense soda ash is the trona method, which uses trona as a raw material to produce dense soda ash through evaporation and carbonization. The density of dense soda ash is 1000-1200kg/m3. It is an anhydrous white granular substance.
Light Soda Ash:
It is synthesized by the ammonia-soda method. The raw salt of trona ore and the raw limestone are chemically synthesized, and then synthesized by solid-phase water. Generally, the density of light soda ash is 500-600kg/m3. It is white powdery crystals.
