Sodium hydroxide, inorganic compound, chemical formula NaOH, also called caustic soda. Sodium hydroxide has strong alkaline, highly corrosive, can be used as acid neutralizer, with masking agent, precipitator, precipitation masking agent, color developing agent, saponifying agent, peeling agent, detergent, etc., the use is very wide.
There are caustic and electrolytic methods for industrial production of sodium hydroxide. According to different raw materials, causticizing method can be divided into soda causticizing method and trona causticizing method. The electrolysis method can be divided into diaphragm electrolysis method and ion exchange membrane method.
