Chinese Enterprises Will Build 6 Million Alumina and 2.4 Million
Electrolytic Aluminum Projects in Indonesia
East Hope Group established Southeast Asia Company (PT Westerfield Alumina Indonesia), which plans to build a super-large cycle industrial base of 6 million tons/year of alumina and 2.4 million tons/year of electrolytic aluminum in Indonesia in three phases. The project is rumored to be located in Kundian, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. In response to China's "the Belt and Road" initiative and Indonesia's "Global Marine fulcrum" strategy, Oriental hopes to build a complete industrial chain from bauxite mining to aluminum processing in Indonesia. Relying on Indonesia's rich bauxite resources, the "river and sea" layout is adopted to realize the nearby extraction and local conversion of minerals, and the finished products are efficiently transported through their own terminals.
The project will use the world's most advanced technology to ensure "ultra-low emissions" and green production. It has created 3,000-3,500 jobs and significantly boosted local economic development. The project implements the concept of "green development", realizes the efficient use of resources through the closed-loop production system, promises to meet international environmental standards, and sets a green benchmark in the industry.
