China Chemical's New High-End Polyformaldehyde Material Project Succeeded in Pilot Testing
On February 11, It was learned that China Chemical Engineering Group that the pilot test of high-end polyformaldehyde (POM) new material project independently developed, designed and constructed by China Chemical Hualu Company successfully opened up the core process of high-end polyformaldehyde new material, produced qualified products, and the index data was significantly better than similar products.
For a long time, foreign countries have strictly blocked the production technology of polyformaldehyde, the existing domestic technology has high production costs, poor product quality and other problems, high-end brand products rely on imports for a long time, and industrial development is subject to people. Since 2021, ChemChina Hualu has organized a research team to develop high-end polyformaldehyde products, collaborated with the China General Institute of Chemical Research, independently designed and built a thousand-ton pilot plant, and successfully overcome key problems such as raw material and intermediate product purification, process explosive polymerization and clog equipment pipelines, and product melting index is difficult to meet standards.
It is learned that when facing many experimental setbacks in the process, the project team of China Chemical Hualu Company is resident at the frontline site, overcoming many difficulties, successfully overcoming the problem of polyformaldehyde "stuck neck" and successfully producing qualified products. The production process of the product has the characteristics of low volatile content, low energy consumption, low scale investment, low production cost and high economic benefit.
China Chemical said that the success of the pilot project of polyformaldehyde is the latest practice of China Chemical always adhering to innovation-driven development, taking the "jam neck" technology as its responsibility, and accelerating the creation of the source of original technology.
